Ce promit și ce pot livra produsele anticelulitice: granița dintre marketing și dermatologie (P)
Cellulite affects 80-90% of post-pubertal women and is not a disease. Its appearance is linked to the structure of connective tissue and fat compartments. While cosmetic products may temporarily improve skin texture, they cannot fundamentally change the underlying structures causing cellulite. A 2015 review highlighted limited efficacy of topical treatments, with more promising results from acoustic wave therapy and minimally invasive lasers. A 2023 review noted some topical formulations showed modest improvements, but results are often short-lived. The EU requires cosmetic claims to be substantiated, emphasizing the importance of ingredient lists over marketing terms. Regular application may be needed for any visible improvement, and professional treatments may offer better results, though no universal solution exists. Cellulite can appear on healthy, fit individuals, reflecting a biological norm rather than a medical issue.
