The Romanian government claims to have absorbed over 90% of non-reimbursable EU funds and over 95% of loans from the PNRR, according to interim Minister Dragoș Pîslaru. As of August 31, Romania's absorption rate was approximately 64%, with around 13 billion euros paid out of 20 billion allocated. The PNRR includes 13.566 billion euros in grants and 6.530 billion euros in loans. Significant projects funded include infrastructure, healthcare, education, and environmental initiatives.
