Residents of Titan and civic activists will gather on September 19 to discuss community organization and legal tools for protecting green spaces. The event, titled "Community, Park, Rights – Legal Workshop for Community Organization," will take place at IOR Park. It aims to address the ongoing issues surrounding the retroceded land in the area, which has faced significant deforestation. The workshop is part of a cultural project co-funded by the Bucharest Municipality. Participants will explore civic mobilization strategies and legal actions, sharing experiences from the IOR case. The community continues to fight for the annulment of the retrocession acts, with a court date set for November 17, 2026. Various activities for all ages will also be held over the weekend, emphasizing the importance of community engagement in preserving urban green spaces.
