Ce nu acoperă asigurarea obligatorie a locuinței. Riscul de care se tem cel mai mult românii
Local officials in Maramureș discussed strategies to protect communities from natural disasters and extreme events during a conference organized by Antena 3 CNN and UNSAR. The region has a low insurance coverage rate, with only 19.5% of homes insured, compared to the national average of 25%. Baia Mare has a slightly better rate at over 30%. The president of the Maramureș County Council highlighted the severe drought affecting the area, with a 90% decrease in precipitation over the past year. Despite half of Romanians fearing fire damage to their homes, few have adequate insurance. Local leaders emphasized the need for closer collaboration with insurance companies to increase coverage. One municipality has over 50% of residents insured, but concerns remain about the adequacy of mandatory policies.
