Europe is experiencing extreme heat with temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius, despite the approaching autumn. Climatologist Alex Trandafir suggests that winter may be warmer than usual, but isolated severe weather events are still possible later in the season. Heat domes have persisted since summer, bringing Saharan air to Spain and France. Trandafir predicts that a strong El Niño could lead to above-average winter temperatures, although it may also bring sporadic severe winter weather, particularly in the latter half of the season.
