Ce înregistrează bodycam-urile poliției locale? Locul de unde agenții urmăresc parcările neregulamentare
Starting this year, local police officers can use body cameras that continuously record. This measure was previously exclusive to national police. The Sector 1 local police have equipped all agents with audio-video recording devices. The law allowing local police to use body cameras was passed earlier this year. The Sector 1 local police have acquired 130 cameras, which will be worn by all officers on duty. These cameras have a 12-hour battery life and operate in standby mode until activated. The mayor of Sector 1, George Tuță, emphasized the importance of body cameras in documenting police interactions and protecting both citizens and officers. Previously, local authorities faced penalties for using body cameras without legal backing. Now, the use of body cameras is mandatory during person identification and incident documentation, with footage retained for six months unless part of a judicial investigation.
