Ce îi cere Meloni șefei Comisiei Europene, în timp ce prețurile la gaze au crescut cu 156%

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has urged the European Commission to ease fiscal rules due to soaring energy prices, which have significantly impacted households and businesses. In a letter to Ursula von der Leyen, she highlighted a 156% increase in gas prices and an 80% rise in oil prices, stressing the need for flexibility in fiscal policies to mitigate the economic strain. Meloni pointed out that higher inflation leads to increased tax revenues, but current EU rules hinder redirecting these funds for energy support measures. She proposed that the Commission recognize that some additional spending is due to inflation rather than government decisions, allowing for targeted temporary measures to alleviate high energy costs.
