The total debts of Romanian companies to the state budget and social budgets reached 77.6 billion lei, increasing from 77 billion lei in Q1. The number of companies with unpaid debts rose to 48,028, with the highest debts in construction, trade, and transport sectors. State budget obligations account for 57.6 billion lei, while social security debts are at 14.9 billion lei. Bucharest holds over 41% of the national total, with significant debts also in Ilfov and Constanța. The construction sector leads in debt value and number of companies, followed by wholesale trade and chemical industry.
