French President Emmanuel Macron commented on Donald Trump's ambition to build a monument in Washington inspired by the Arc de Triomphe, asserting that Paris remains unique. Macron humorously acknowledged Trump's style and emphasized that the original Arc de Triomphe holds its own historical significance. The proposed American monument, set to be much larger, would stand approximately 76 meters tall and feature a golden figure inspired by the Statue of Liberty. Trump has also suggested incorporating military functions into the design, which has received approval from the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.
