The Romanian Chamber of Deputies has approved a legislative proposal requiring 45 categories of officials to declare their financial interests publicly. This new regulation combines previous declarations of wealth and interests into a single document, aligning with a Constitutional Court decision. The declaration will not disclose specific amounts but will set thresholds. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance integrity and transparency in public office, linked to accessing funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
