Ce au găsit chinezii într-o rocă veche de jumătate de miliard de ani, scoasă de la 8 kilometri, în timp ce săpau după petrol în deșert

China has extracted over 26 million tons of oil and gas from depths exceeding 6,000 meters in the Fuman oilfield, located in the Taklimakan Desert. The China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) announced a significant milestone, having recently extracted rock cores from a depth of 8,080 meters, revealing the potential for deep hydrocarbon exploitation. This marks the first extraction of such cores in the Tarim Basin. The project has intensified production activities, with over 20 million tons of crude oil and 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas already extracted. The Tarim Basin is believed to hold over 5 billion tons of oil and gas reserves, primarily from deep formations.
