Investigators found a jamming device in Călin Georgescu's car, allowing him to avoid being recorded during conversations. After a seven-hour search at his home, they seized numerous documents, including one from the "Order of Malta". Georgescu, a former presidential candidate, is being investigated for fraud involving 1.1 million euros, linked to a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims he was defrauded by Georgescu in a precious metals business deal. Leu was advised to secure a loan through Georgescu and his associate Ionel Rusen, but the loan never materialized, leading to a demand for the return of his deposit.
