Premier Energy is seeking approval from the Competition Council to acquire the Evryo Group, including Distribuție Energie Oltenia, by committing to several behavioral measures. The Competition Council raised concerns about potential anti-competitive practices due to vertical integration, which could disadvantage rival suppliers. To address these issues, Premier Energy proposed measures to ensure fair treatment of all energy suppliers and maintain the technical role of the distribution operator. The acquisition, valued at approximately 700 million euros, is expected to be finalized by the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Premier Energy has secured a bridge financing facility to support this acquisition.
