The Constitutional Court ruled on the ANI law, declaring certain phrases unconstitutional while upholding an amendment affecting Timișoara's mayor, Dominic Fritz. The court found the phrase regarding relationships similar to marriage unconstitutional, as well as the publication of financial interest declarations for spouses. However, it confirmed the constitutional nature of the amendment that allows for the termination of public office within 30 days due to incompatibility. Fritz criticized the ruling, claiming it validates an abuse of power and threatens democracy, vowing to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
