CCR se pronunță luni asupra Legii integrității, contestată de USR, PNL și președintele Nicușor Dan

The Romanian Constitutional Court will reconvene to discuss the constitutionality of the new Integrity Law, contested by USR, PNL, and President Nicușor Dan. The law has raised concerns over amendments that may violate the Constitution. USR and PNL argue that the law targets political opponents, while PSD claims it jeopardizes EU funds. Nicușor Dan also filed a separate challenge, emphasizing the need for clear definitions in the law. The court's session follows scrutiny over a meeting between the court's president and a Senate representative, raising questions about procedural integrity. The Integrity Law is crucial for Romania's PNRR commitments and must be promulgated by August 31.
