CCR decide asupra legalității OUG 38/2026 / Grindeanu acuză Guvernul că a legiferat fără mandat democratic

The Romanian Constitutional Court may rule on a constitutional conflict between the Government and Parliament regarding an emergency ordinance related to the SAFE Program. Sorin Grindeanu, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, has requested the Court to recognize this conflict and guide the restoration of constitutional order. The conflict arises from the Government's actions after a vote of no confidence, which allegedly overstepped its legislative authority by issuing an ordinance that interfered with ongoing parliamentary processes. Grindeanu argues that this undermines the Parliament's role and disrupts the constitutional balance of power.
