CCR decide astăzi în disputa Înalta Curte-Guvern pentru restanțele salariale de 1 miliard de euro ale magistraților

The Constitutional Court is addressing a legal conflict between the Government and the High Court regarding unpaid salary arrears for judges, amounting to nearly 5 billion lei. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan filed the complaint after the High Court ruled in favor of judges seeking payment for retroactive salary increases. The Government argues that the court overstepped its authority, disrupting the budget balance. The Bucharest Court of Appeal previously ordered the Government to pay 4.8 billion lei in salary arrears, with daily penalties for delays. The state owes judges 2 billion euros in total, to be paid in installments, with strict deadlines and penalties for non-compliance.
