CCR a decis pe Legea integrității: prevederea privind partenerii demnitarilor, declarată neconstituțională. Încetarea mandatului după 30 de zile rămâne în picioare

The Romanian Constitutional Court ruled on several provisions of the integrity law, declaring some unconstitutional while upholding others. The court unanimously rejected the phrase regarding relationships similar to marriage and the publication of spouses' financial interests. However, it upheld the provision for automatic termination of public office after 30 days. The decision follows controversies surrounding a meeting between the court's president and a political figure shortly before the ruling. The integrity law is crucial for Romania's commitments under the PNRR and must be promulgated by August 31.
