CCR a cheltuit peste o jumătate de milion de lei pe deplasările externe ale judecătorilor, în mai puțin de doi ani

The Romanian Constitutional Court (CCR) spent over 519,000 lei on international trips for its judges in less than two years. A report revealed 31 trips and 53 individual participations, with significant expenses for destinations like the Dominican Republic and Kyrgyzstan. Judge Laura-Iuliana Scântei's four trips to the Venice Commission alone cost nearly 78,000 lei, raising questions about funding responsibilities. The CCR stated that these trips are approved by its Plenary, but the funding source remains unclear, especially since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was involved. The report also highlighted the spending patterns of various judges, with Scântei, Stan, and Tănăsescu accounting for a large portion of the total costs.
