The Romanian Constitutional Court postponed its decision regarding a constitutional conflict between the Government and Parliament over an emergency ordinance related to the SAFE Program, requested by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu. Grindeanu argues that the Government acted unconstitutionally by adopting and publishing the ordinance after the Parliament withdrew its confidence through a motion of censure. He claims this undermines the legislative authority of Parliament and disrupts the constitutional balance of power. The Court will revisit the case on September 30.
