Cazurile de infectare cu febra dengue, în creştere în Malaezia
The number of dengue fever infections has surged in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, prompting health authorities to warn of a high transmission risk. Since early August, 58,079 cases have been reported, marking a 56.2% increase from the same period in 2022, with 55 related deaths. Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya saw a 106% rise in cases, while Selangor reported a 61% increase. The Ministry of Health has implemented targeted measures to control the outbreak, but the risk remains high due to rising cases in other states. Factors such as unpredictable weather and stagnant water sources are contributing to the mosquito population and disease spread. The ministry will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust interventions as needed.
