Caz medical complex la Sibiu: O pacientă de 28 de ani, tratată fără operație clasică după hemoragii severe

A 28-year-old patient with severe genital bleeding underwent a minimally invasive endovascular procedure at Sibiu County Emergency Hospital, successfully stopping the bleeding and preserving her uterus. The intervention was performed by interventional radiology teams from Sibiu and Cluj hospitals, following the identification of a hypervascularized endometrial mass. The selected treatment involved selective arterial embolization, which was conducted through blood vessels without traditional surgery. The procedure yielded excellent results, halting the bleeding immediately while keeping the uterus intact. This case highlights the benefits of interventional radiology in modern medicine, offering reduced trauma and shorter recovery times compared to conventional surgery.
