Romania has 6.43 billion euros left to collect from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with the European Commission's final decision expected in November. The Ministry of Finance emphasizes that these funds are crucial for meeting budget deficit targets, as unvalidated payments must be covered by the national budget. So far, Romania has received 13.27 billion euros from PNRR, including grants and loans. The remaining amount includes 2.08 billion euros from payment request number 5 and 4.35 billion euros from request number 6, submitted on September 30. The Ministry warns that unvalidated targets will not be recoverable from PNRR and will impact the national budget.
