Despite increased collections, they fell short of expectations due to new banking methods used by workers to evade taxes. Nica noted that many in the industry are misled into believing that ANAF cannot track their earnings. He emphasized the importance of transparency and compliance with tax regulations, suggesting that paying taxes would be simpler than using these new methods.
