Severe storms in northern Italy have damaged historic buildings in Cremona, including its medieval cathedral and town hall tower. The cathedral's spire was affected, and the town hall's roof collapsed. Other areas in Lombardy also faced strong winds and hail, causing significant infrastructure damage. In Brescia, hailstones reached tennis ball size. Italian firefighters received over 300 emergency calls, deploying more than 160 personnel to assist. The most severe impacts were in Cremona, where damaged roofs needed securing and fallen trees were removed.
