The number of companies and authorized natural persons entering insolvency increased in the first half of 2026, totaling 3,855 cases, a 12.36% rise from 2025. Bucharest recorded the highest number of insolvencies, followed by Bihor and Cluj. The retail and construction sectors saw the most significant increases in insolvencies. In Alba, 46 cases were reported, a decrease compared to the previous year.
