Romania supports the rapid mobilization of EU tools to assist Spain in managing border control and preventing illegal crossings, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu during an extraordinary meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council. He expressed Romania's solidarity with Spain and emphasized the need for a coordinated EU response to migration pressures. Predoiu highlighted the importance of operational support from EU agencies and the necessity for efficient return procedures for individuals without the right to remain. He also stressed the need for strong partnerships with North African countries to combat illegal migration and trafficking.
