Starting Monday, drivers can use a new 47-kilometer section of the A7 highway, significantly reducing travel time from Bucharest to Bacău. The journey will take approximately 2.5 hours, compared to the previous route which could take over 4.5 hours. Currently, 196 kilometers of the A7 are open, with plans to open an additional 4 kilometers soon. However, the section between Bacău and Pașcani remains under construction, with expected openings in December and next spring. Funding issues may arise for some segments due to the loss of PNRR financing.
