The Ministry of Transport has opened public consultation on the technical-economic indicators for the Bucharest-Alexandria Highway, projected to cost over 11 billion lei. The highway will span 74.2 kilometers through Ilfov, Giurgiu, and Teleorman counties, divided into three lots. Construction is expected to take 33 months, funded by European programs and the state budget. The project includes 10 interchanges and 65 structures, such as bridges and viaducts, with significant ones over the Argeș River and other valleys. Additionally, it will feature a parking area with 106 spaces, including facilities for disabled individuals and electric vehicle charging stations.
