The average pension for state social insurance was 2,821 lei, with a net nominal pension of 2,700 lei. The real average pension index was 98.1%. Compared to the same quarter last year, the number of pensioners decreased by 5,000, but the number of state social insurance pensioners increased by 11,000. Women represent 55% of pensioners for age limit, and there are significant territorial disparities in pension amounts. The average pension for women was lower than for men across all categories, with the largest gap in early pensions.
