Cât donează românii: România, printre cele mai generoase țări din UE după ponderea din venituri. Unde ajung cei mai mulți bani

In 2025, Romanians donated an average of 0.9% of their income, ranking among the most generous in the EU. The majority prefer to help individuals directly rather than through charities. While 61% of respondents donated, only 27% contributed to charitable organizations. Romania's donations surpass those of larger EU economies like Germany and France, which reported 0.4%. Globally, the trend shows a preference for direct assistance, with 41% of donations going to individuals in need. The report highlights a strong link between community belonging and donation levels, indicating that perceptions of charities also influence generosity. Ukraine and Nigeria lead in global donations, while financial constraints remain a barrier for many.
