Cât de profitabil este „acordul motorinei” pentru Rusia lui Putin

Vladimir Putin recently turned 74, and shortly after, Donald Trump announced negotiations for the immediate delivery of Russian diesel to the U.S. and global markets. This deal, authorized by a temporary U.S. Treasury license, aims to lower fuel prices for Americans. Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine and Western sanctions, Russian diesel exports have remained stable, with significant volumes redirected to non-Western markets. The agreement includes increasing deliveries from 300,000 tons in October to one million tons monthly by April 2027. However, the impact on U.S. prices may be limited, as domestic diesel prices continue to rise, affecting various sectors of the economy. The potential financial gain for Russia from this deal is modest, as it may not significantly alter the existing export dynamics or benefit the Russian budget directly.
