Romanian children are poorly prepared for online dangers, ranking last in Europe regarding internet safety awareness. Only 25% recognize that the top Google result isn't always reliable. Parental control usage is low, with only 19% of parents limiting online time, compared to 40% in Europe. Less than a quarter monitor content or apps used by their children. Additionally, only 37% track their children's GPS location, which is below the European average. Many children report feeling disturbed online, with 36% experiencing issues monthly. Communication between children and parents is challenging, especially for girls and those from financially struggling families.
