Despite the school year starting on September 7, many Romanians are still enjoying vacation time in Ocna Sibiului, which offers lower prices in September. This summer, the area attracted nearly 143,000 tourists, with around 50,000 visitors per month during peak season. The natural salt lakes, known for their therapeutic properties, have reduced entry fees to 25 lei for adults and 10 lei for children over 10 starting September 1. The new director, Ioan Popa, aims to digitalize operations and secure EU funding to extend the bathing season.
