Castrul Legiunii a V-a Macedonica, sit UNESCO din România, vechi de aproape 2.000 de ani, se deschide publicului larg

Starting September 11, the Roman Castrum of the Vth Macedonian Legion in Turda, a UNESCO site, will be open to the public after restoration. The project, initiated in 2016, has enhanced various structures and created visitor pathways. The site, significant for its historical value, covers 23.37 hectares and features advanced military engineering of its time. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2024 as part of the Roman Empire's frontiers in Dacia. Archaeological findings have enriched the local museum's collection, showcasing the site's importance.
