Castelul Miko din Olteni, Covasna, restaurat cu fonduri europene, se redeschide în weekend

Miko Castle in Olteni will reopen on September 5, hosting the Szekler Equestrian Museum. The inauguration includes a screening of the film 'Vita mia', featuring scenes filmed at the castle. Built in 1827, the castle showcases unique murals depicting social life and Napoleonic wars. After being returned to the count's heirs in 2007, it was sold to local authorities in 2014. The restoration, costing around 20 million lei, was funded by European grants. The castle will also be part of the Transylvanian Curiosities Route, a national cultural tourism initiative. The reopening event will feature artistic performances and guided tours.
