The program for prosumers to receive up to 15,000 lei for energy storage batteries is set to launch in October, as announced by Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu. The funding guide has been signed after public consultation, introducing changes to the selection process and eligibility for those who already own batteries. The program, with a budget of 400 million lei, will be managed by the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM), which is updating the registration platform. The evaluation criteria have been reduced from three to two, focusing on the applicant's contribution and battery capacity. Those who previously purchased batteries can now apply, but those who received public funds for batteries are still ineligible. The funding covers up to 15,000 lei, with a minimum personal contribution of 25%.
