Casa natală a lui Hitler devine secție de poliție. Austria vrea să transforme un simbol al totalitarismului în bastion al democrației

Austria has opened a new police station in Adolf Hitler's birthplace, aiming to transform the site into a symbol of democracy and civil rights. The renovation, costing around 20 million euros, significantly altered the building's appearance to deter extremist associations. Authorities hope to prevent the site from becoming a neo-Nazi pilgrimage location. The police presence is intended to signify a shift from its historical context to a focus on human rights training. A memorial stone from the Mauthausen concentration camp has been preserved to emphasize the anti-Nazi message.
