The recalculation of pensions in Romania, known as Mica Recalculare, is nearing completion, with many pensioners expected to receive additional funds by the end of the year. The Casa de Pensii has revealed the amounts by which pensions may have been incorrectly recalculated, with increases ranging from 50 to 300 lei. Approximately 600,000 pensioners were eligible to submit documents for this recalculation, with around 60,000 to 70,000 cases still pending. Meanwhile, the Curtea de Conturi reported significant errors in pension calculations, claiming that 2.1 million pensions were incorrectly assessed, leading to potential losses for some pensioners. However, the Casa de Pensii disputes these findings, suggesting that the discrepancies are minimal and based on flawed statistical analysis. This situation leaves pensioners uncertain about the accuracy of their pensions and the ongoing disputes between the two institutions.
