„Cartea de vizită” chimică a pisicilor ar putea avea originea în rinichi
Researchers have found that cats' urine contains a chemical signature that allows other felines to identify individuals. This signature is linked to specific fatty acids in the kidneys, which remain stable over time. The study involved analyzing urine samples from 44 cats and behavioral tests on 27 domestic cats, revealing that the fatty acid profile serves as a chemical 'business card' for each cat. The findings suggest that this mechanism may also exist in wild felines, although further research is needed to confirm its use in social recognition.
