Carrefour Romania is enhancing its collaboration with local producers following its acquisition by Pavăl Holding, aiming for a 60% increase in local fruit and vegetable volumes by mid-2026. The 'Grădina Noastră' program has expanded to include 14 cooperatives and over 390 producers, while the 'De aici, de aproape' initiative now covers 240 stores nationwide. The retailer emphasizes its commitment to local sourcing, with 95% of its food suppliers being Romanian. CEO Gilles Ballot highlighted the importance of supporting local businesses for community impact and product relevance.
