Carnea decongelată poate fi congelată din nou? Regula simplă pe care trebuie să o știi înainte de a găti • Newsweek România
Defrosted meat can be refrozen under certain conditions, primarily depending on how it was thawed. If meat is defrosted in the refrigerator and kept at a safe temperature, it can be refrozen, although quality may decline. Ground meat, poultry, and seafood should be cooked or refrozen within one to two days, while red meat can last three to five days. However, meat thawed using cold water or a microwave must be cooked immediately before refreezing. Thawing at room temperature is unsafe, and meat left out for over two hours should not be refrozen. Even if safe to refreeze, the texture and taste may change due to moisture loss during the freezing process. To maintain quality, it's advisable to portion meat before freezing.
