Countries like Sweden and Finland allocate a higher percentage of GDP to education, while Romania and Greece spend significantly less. Notably, Luxembourg has the highest per-student spending despite lower GDP percentage allocation. However, higher spending does not guarantee better educational outcomes, as evidenced by PISA results showing a significant percentage of students performing below basic levels. The EU aims to reduce this by 2030, but demographic changes may impact future funding.
