Romania is well-prepared for the upcoming winter regarding natural gas production, storage, and import capacity, according to Ion Sterian, CEO of Transgaz. The country has nearly 79% of its gas storage filled, exceeding the European average, and is set to increase production with new capacities coming online. Despite expectations of higher consumption due to new energy projects, Sterian assures that there will be no gas supply crisis, as imports can supplement demand during extreme cold. The current storage levels are above EU requirements, and Romania is on track to meet its gas needs this winter.
