Charlottenburg, the only circular village in Romania, was established in 1771 and is now a tourist attraction. Located in Timiș County, it was founded by 32 families from northern Italy and southern Germany. The village's unique circular design was intended to protect against wild animals and thieves. It features a historic hunting museum and has a diameter of 210 meters. Despite its German origins, only one member of the original community remains today. Charlottenburg continues to attract visitors due to its distinctive shape and picturesque surroundings.
