Over 16,000 Romanians live in adult disability centers, lacking the autonomy of a home. Tibi, Eli, and Ana have transitioned to modular homes in Timișoara, part of the Un Loc project, which aims to provide independent living for people with disabilities. Founded by Roxana Damaschin-Țecu and Elisabeta Moldovan, the initiative helps individuals escape institutional settings and integrate into the community. Despite financial and bureaucratic challenges, Un Loc supports 55 individuals with various services, promoting inclusivity and sustainable communities.
