Cardurile de sănătate vor dispărea din România: Schimbarea începe, treptat, de la 1 septembrie

The health card will be gradually replaced by the new electronic identity card starting September 1. The CNAS president explained that both documents will be usable during the transition period. The new card will not store medical data but will allow identification within state systems. Those without the electronic identity card must continue using the health card for medical services. The transition will depend on the issuance of new identity cards and system adaptations.
