The Caravana cu Medici initiative has returned to these communities as part of the national campaign "Fără diabet" to improve healthcare access. Horia Buzduga from the Brașov branch emphasized the importance of regular visits for continuity of care and monitoring chronic conditions. Recent data showed a slight decrease in cases of dyslipidemia and prediabetes, but an increase in diabetes cases. The initiative has also encouraged more healthy individuals to seek preventive care, challenging the myth that absence of pain indicates good health. The organization seeks volunteers from various fields to support their efforts in these remote areas.
