A young angler from Zalău caught an impressive catfish measuring about 2.25 meters and weighing over 65 kilograms in the Someș River near Jibou. The catch took around three hours, showcasing the angler's skill against such a formidable opponent. Local fishermen noted that captures of this size are extremely rare, with no comparable catches reported in the last decade.
