„Capitala aluminiului” din România va avea sală polivalentă cu 2.861 locuri. S-au reluat lucrările după 15 ani • Newsweek România

Slatina, known as the 'Aluminum Capital' of Romania, is set to have a multi-purpose hall with 2,861 seats, with construction resuming after 15 years. The project, costing around €20 million, is expected to be completed by the end of 2028. The hall's construction began in 2011 but was halted, leaving it unfinished. Mayor Mario De Mezzo emphasized the need for improved sports infrastructure in the city and assured that efforts are being made to address these deficiencies. The local administration will continue to support the women's handball team through investments and budget allocations.
